The Urban Ecology Center at Riverside park was a beautiful venue for Claire and Dave's wedding. I look forward to the day that I have another opportunity to capture another event there.
For couples that are environmentally conscious and would like to host their wedding at an eco-friendly location, this is definitely the place.
The building itself is a gorgeous multi level structure, and as you will see in the slideshow below, at the couple's request, I was able to capture all the guests in one shot, as they all stood outside on different levels overlooking the balconies. Inside the main level, the bride and groom hosted their cocktail hour with a folk band, before going upstairs (elevators available) for their reception. The tables and chairs were all beautifully crafted from wood, pulling that that eco-charm indoors as well.
The outdoor area is extremely gorgeous, with winding pathways through gardens and forests, the possibilities for photo opportunities is endless. If it wasn't for the touch and go rain I would have loved to have spent more time with Claire and David outside discovering the many beautiful locations.
An outdoor theater area provided a semi-circular space for guests to enjoy the wedding ceremony under the canopy of trees on a gorgeous August day.
