Brittany & Steven's wedding ceremony at Gesu Church was absolutely gorgeous. The ornate stained glass windows and grand sanctuary add to the charm of the church making a beautiful backdrop for ceremony photos. I was surprised at the amount of natural light coming into the church, considering the size and location - which made for some stunning photographs.
We headed over to St. Francis de Sales for some wedding party photos, as Brittany loved the long entry way lined on both sides with huge, old trees - creating an arch which BEGGED to be photographed.
The day of their wedding, it was HOT - and as we arrived at the Seminary, the clouds started to get a little dark as a storm rolled in. We quickly got through the photos, before a cool blast of air came in moments before taking the below image. I can only imagine that Milwaukee area wedding photographers everywhere were scrambling to take cover during the storm! There were even reports of a tornado touching down north of Milwaukee!!
Thankfully, my couple had scheduled a 2 hour break between photos at St. Francis de Sales and the Milwaukee Public Market Reception - during which time it poured rain! So not only did the rain not affect our photo time - it made for some INCREDIBLE photos before & after!
The upper terrace of the Public Market was set up and decorated by the event coordinators at the market beautifully. I loved their simple and elegant design elements, and pastel purple and green color combo.
Natural light coming through the west facing windows makes it a photographers dream for capturing the table details.
The appetizers, dinner and deserts were all curated from vendors within the Market itself, and the display (and food itself) was incredible.
